Meeting Program – Tuesday, March 19, 2013  – Chemung River Friends Update – by Jim Pfiffer.

Jim Pfiffer from the Friends of the Chemung River was the speaker for the program. He talked about the improvements the groups have made along the Chemung River. He answered questions regarding the list of 2013 eco-recreation events, programs and river-related fun in our area. His group works with the Susquehanna Greenway and other organizations to provide safe and fun events on our rivers for the whole family. The Susquehanna Valley Audubon members have a field trip arranged with the Chemung Valley Audubon Society to introduce people to more good birding opportunities. Don Hall was at the meeting to talk about this field trip scheduled for April 13 in the Elmira Area.
